Founded by Sagnik Mitra, Shubham Tribedi, and Manish Kumar Barnwal in April 2021, Hack4Bengal has grown remarkably since its inception. The inaugural edition attracted over 1500 participants nationwide, culminating in an offline closing ceremony in April 2022. The second season, held from July 9-11, 2023, at Sister Nivedita University in partnership with the Department of IT and E, Government of West Bengal, marked the first fully offline hackathon, further cementing its role in fostering a collaborative tech community.
Registrations for Hack4Bengal 3.0 skyrocketed to over 3000 within just eight days, underscoring its popularity and relevance in the tech community. The event boasts robust online engagement with over 5500 members on Discord, a strong social media following of 4000+, and more than 13000 visits to its official website.
